Well, what a festival! Not even a 45mph gale and persistent precipitation on Saturday could halt your favourite reggae festival and by general consensus it was a bumper highlights reel. Stellar performances on the main stage included Hollie Cook, Kiko Bun, The Roots Daughters and Brother Culture. There were earthquaking sessions in the Jah Spirit Arena from Aba Shanti I, Channel One, Young Warrior and Iration Steppas. A superb supporting cast across the festival meant the rain and wind could be ignored (it was actually really sunny on Sunday). And, of course, anyone that spent that glorious hour and a half in the company of the sublime Horace Andy as the rain swirled down outside knew that it was all worth it.

We’d like to thank everyone involved in the festival from the artists and performers, the traders, the security staff, the volunteers, the sound team, the production crew, Paul the farmer for towing all the campers out on Monday morning. But most of all we’d like to thank you, the wonderful Wilkswood Family. You certainly earned your stripes this year but in the midst of the wind and rain there was a genuine love for the music and each other. You make friends with a stranger at Wilkswood Reggae and you’ll be friends for life. Again, thank you from the Wilkswood Reggae Team: you make it all worthwhile.
