Two of the UK’s most warmly regarded and hardest working artists come together at the Wilkswood Reggae Festival when Paul Fox teams up with Brother Culture.
Producer and singer Paul Fox is based in the UK and has been creating roots, reggae and dub since the early 80s. He released his first 12”, Writing on the Wall in 1992 and has since worked with many artists and producers including Nick Manasseh, Robert Tribulation, Michael Rose, Rod Taylor, Fullness, Dubheart, Alpha and Omega, Jonah Dan and Unlisted Fanatic.
Brother Culture is one of the UK’s most renowned reggae MCs. From his base in the bustling borough of Brixton, London, he has left his sizeable stamp on the genre across the globe. Brother Culture has been doing it on the mic since 1982 and has worked with many of the big soundsystems including Jah Revelation Muzik, KingTafari Love, On-U Sound, Manasseh, Mungo’s HiFi, Zion Train, and The Prodigy. In 2008 Brother Culture released ISIS, a self-penned collection of songs reflecting the MC scene from the 80s till now; if you’ve not yet been acquainted with his work, then this is a good album to start with.
Paul Fox and Brother Culture have collaborated on vinyl, releasing the album ‘Heartical Connection’ and the ‘Lies and Rumours’ 45 from it in 2016.
